The aim of this 19th edition of the conference series on Web Information Systems Engineering is to provide an international forum for researchers, professionals, and industrial practitioners to share their knowledge in the rapidly growing area of Web technologies, methodologies and applications. This edition will promote the theme of Web Engineering in the Era of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), two highly important areas for the world economy, in general, and the knowledge economy, in particular.

Topic of Interests

WISE 2018 welcomes all workshop proposal submissions that fall in the domain of Web, information systems, data analytics, AI, and knowledge and data engineering. The decision on acceptance/rejection of workshop proposals will be made on the basis of the overall quality of the proposal, its appeal to a viable fraction of the Web community as well as how it fits in with the conference.

Submission

Submissions should be made by e-mail in PDF format with subject title "WISE 2018 Workshop Proposal". Workshop proposals should include the following information:

  • The title of the workshop.
  • The names and addresses of the organizers, and a designated contact person.

WISE 2018 Support

WISE workshop papers will be published by Springer in Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. WISE 2018 will provide administrative support in the areas of registration, hotel meeting rooms, and publication of the workshop proceedings in Springer. Each workshop will receive one complementary WISE registration and a free accommodation, given that the workshop receives eight or more registrations.

Submission Guidelines

Papers

Papers should be submitted in PDF format. The results described must be unpublished and must not be under review elsewhere. Submissions must conform to Springer's LNCS format and should not exceed 15 pages, including all text, figures, references and appendices. Submissions not conforming to the LNCS format, exceeding 15 pages, or being obviously out of the scope of the conference, will be rejected without review. Information about the Springer LNCS format can be found at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html . Three to five keywords characterizing the paper should be indicated at the end of the abstract. The type of paper (technical/empirical evaluation/experience/exploratory paper) should be indicated in the submission.

Submissions should be made electronically in PDF format via the Microsoft CMT submission system for the WISE 2018 Conference (the link will be available soon...).

Accepted papers will be presented at WISE 2018 and published in the conference proceedings, which is published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Authors elected best papers from the conference will be invited to submit an expanded version for publication in the WWW Journal, Springer.
